About Me: Female, 41, Neenah, WI, member since Nov 2009
My name is Leslie. I have been married since 2003, together since 1998. My hubby is wonderful, but of course I am biased. He's an artist, works at a Children's Museum and teaches as an art professor part time. I found this site by accident when I was researching the IUI
[More] and I'm so glad I did. Very helpful and so many nice people on here. My husband and I have been TTC on and off since August 2007. I have PCOS and he has 2 varicoceles. We were told we had about a 2% chance of conceiving so we actually turned to adoption in April 2008, but have since had 2 failed adoptions and no baby to call our own. We never went to a RE and really wish someone would have suggested it. We finally went to the RE on November 9th, 2009 and she found a viable follicle. Still can't believe it. First IUI 11/14, but BFN. Preparing for second IUI in January 2010! Second IUI worked in January and baby boy was born on September 19, 2010. We are now a family of three and it feels as if he has always been with us. I hope everyone else trying to conceive gets to experience such a wonderful gift!
In March 2015 I lost my mom unexpectedly to a heart attack. The day she died I had this overwhelming thought about having another baby. I thought it was just a grief reaction so I ignored it for awhile, but here we are 6 months later and I still have those thoughts and feelings. We are hoping to be back on the TTC train soon. In September 2015 we met with the fertility specialist again. Need to get some testing done with myself and my husband to see what our chances are. Planning to start trying by December 2015 hopefully! Praying for another miracle!
