After many doctor and ER visits finally had a brain MRI and found out I have a Chiari Malformation, can't take the pressure at the base of my skull anymore. The headaches I'm told have nothing to do with the Chiari. Saw an excellent Neuro surgeon in Boston and he only t
[More]his the surgery based on symptoms, he did tell me I did have mega crowding of cerebellum on back of brain.
I don't really want the surgery but also if this constant pressure is from chiari I feel that I have no choice.
Hey :) I don't know if you still come on here at all anymore...I know it's tough for me since being back at work and trying to play catch-up on everything I'd been missing! Wanted to touch base and let you know I think about you and hope that you are ok!
Just a quick note to say hi!...so good to hear from u...don't be so hard on urself we all tend to forget our limitations.....especially when we r feeling better....
Nothing new for me.....waiting on medical insurance...mine ran out.....not sure what I will be doing next, researching my next step.
I pray ur next visit goes well...what type of job do u have?
It's been tough. I went back to middle school 4 weeks post op and now I'm past 7 weeks and still tired all the time. I'm getting pressure headaches towards the top of my head, behind my eyes, in my ears. Also, the pins and needles in my face is back. I think just because I'm not resting enough. I really feel much better than before surgery, but still not 100%. Rest as much as you can and don't compare to others -- we all have different experiences and healing isn't the same. Yesterday the narcs I took didn't even touch the headache, but today it's not as bad...every day is different even! Just hang in there and let yourself do only what you can -- don't feel badly. I'm glad you are slowly improving :) Hang in there! Every day is a new day filled with the unexpected :) Take good care!
Just a quick note to say hi!...Hi Alex...how r u doing...sorry I know I should have sent u a note, sorry.....I have found it diff lately to keep track who is here and who is out on surgery.....how r u doing?
I am doing ok.....when do u go for ur post op visit?
