I look deceptively healthy face value when well for intervals. I do not drink, smoke but try to eat right and live a decent lifestyle inspite of many challenges. I once belonged to a writer's guild, do family history and have many other interests which include walking a

Much of my zest for life is spent catching a virus that results in excessive mucous buildup and illness in my respiratory track for months. This year I took claritan for months because the mucous was present even in the summertime and I was constantly spitting it out. I think I probably developed bronchitis although I don't usually cough. I never know what causes it although I have undergone allergy tests, exams and taken antibiotics in vain. At times I have felt like I have dogmeat in my chest is the only way I can describe it sometimes. This past month I was put on Tamiflu about three days after my head and chest filled up and I had other flu symptoms. I caught this years variety of head pains, sore throat, ears, chills, and even more mucous. I was told I did and did not have the swine flu by different health care proffessionals.
I could barely breathe at times with the congestion that drapped itself around my chest. I probably should have continued to use flovent permanently as advised by a doctor to see if it helps. It's just that it doesn't always seem to stop it and although my doctor doesn't believe me after several weeks of using it I have to take a break because it makes me tremble.
I would like to hear if others deal with such symptoms. Doctors don't always understand how much stressful this problem is or that it really is an ongoing problem! Some people think I am a hypochondriac, especially if I decline an invitation because I don't feel well. Others suggest I should go to a doctor or didn't go early enough!!. Three years ago one respiratory specialist the exception to the rule said "cold weather is hell for people like you. Always wear a scarf around your face but do go out, even if you walk around a shopping center." The problem is that I catch other virus's easily when I do that. He said I had asthma then on another occasion bronchitis. He said I didn't have ordinairy asthma when I questioned him he explained that I only experienced the symptoms of asthma after a cold but I didn't have asthma. I feel slightly confused. I asked if he would recommend I take the pneumonia vaccine and he said, "No".
I Have felt frightened, confused, embarassed, guilty ??? depressed and alone over the years.
