About Me: Female, 53, leeds, United Kingdom, member since Jan 2010
48 years old suffering from segmental myoclonus for last 4 years. Depression for last 8 years also panic attacks and anxiety. Suffer muscle and joint pains including sciatica. Apart from that doing well : )
Just a quick note to say hi!
I used to run an epilepsy board and a lot of the patients were from the UK. They had very similar issues. It's starting to get pretty socialized in the US also. I always made sure that the patients on my boards did as I do. Lots of water, nutrition, and meditation. It's hard to meditate when you feel so weak because meditation always brings out the worst of your symptoms, but it makes you more in-tune with your body. All I can say is that nervous system issues are just not well understood by even the best in the medical community. Sometimes it's up to us to dig down, feel your pain, and let your mind heal in its own way.
You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today. I hope you are doing well! May this new year bring you comfort, healing, and peace. I pray that this year will bring you many blessings!!! Happy New Year!
Love and hugs!!!
