Just a quick note to say hi! I am not really quite sure how this site works but I am going to try to talk to you anyway. Today I was told that my 14 year old son has a bicuspid aortic valve. I found this out because he had been having quite a few episodes where he would experience tightness in his chest, trouble breathing and a racing heart. After this started happening more frequently I decided to take him to the ER. They ran some tests and took some blood and told me he was fine and that we could go home. I insisted that he wasn't fine and they needed to figure out what was wrong with him. They ordered an echocardiogram and I got the results today. My pediatrician says that he is fine and it is nothing to worry about .. I am meeting with her tomorrow.
The Dr's appointment went well on Friday. They said that he had no significant change and they didn't restart him on his BP pills again. I'm not sure how i feel about that . We go back again in 6 months for follow-up. I have asked for a copy of his echo so I can compare it to the previous ones. Glad tto hear your son is doing well. I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. I know how tough that can be and how stressful it can be. My mom died of bowel cancer 3 years ago. It was one of the most stressful days of my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If you ever need to chat don't hesitate to contact me.
Just a quick note to say hi! How are things going? I haven't seen you on here for awhile. How is your son doing? We are heading to see the cardiologist next week....I'm a little anxious and i also want to see where he is at....he has been playing hockey and doing fine with no complaints of being tired or any complaints at all lately....i hope that is a good thing......How has your weather been? It is beautiful up here in Northwestern Ontario.
