HEY!! NO, it is NOT "MomtoBE"!!! LOL!!!! Been there, done that! I am the Community Leader on the Heart Forums. Other than being an active member, I am a liasion between members and MedHelp. I pass along ideas and suggestions to MH and try and help members feel comfortable and navigate the forum and its features. I can't always keep up with welcoming everyone, but I try to at least say HI when I see someone new. A friend of ours had ortho surgery and also ended up with a staph infection. As you know, it's serious stuff. He had to learn to walk and get around all over again. Very scary stuff.
My neighbor keeps telling me to hold out until Samson is 3. We'll see. Great talking to you : ) Stick around the forums, you'll learn lots AND meet great people. Your friend, connie
I'm doing well, though I'm getting ready to call it a day. It's been warm here and I've been working outside and keeping busy in the yard, garden, dirt, mulch...
My goodness! Three back surgeries and a staph infection!! That's a full plate for sure!
I'm glad to hear the BB is helping with the palps. I remember when I was taking a BB and at first, I was SO tired. Eventually, I adjusted and it didn't bother me at all. Have a great weekend!
Hi cottontop! Samson (my golden) turned 2 yesterday and he has tested every ounce of strength and emotion I have. He is an "alpha" dog for sure. He is our 3rd golden and definitely the most challenging dog we have ever owned. I am actually trying to decide if he (and we) would be better off if he were with someone who could better manage him. He may NEED to be a working dog, just because of his boundless energy. I've been working with him for almost 2 years and I'm nearly worn out....of well, as you say.....back to the heart of things.
How are you feeling today? Hope you are doing well.
You're welcome! And, thank you also! I LOVE your nickname!! My youngest son was a towhead until he was about 16. I am so happy to read that you are enjoying your hubby, kids, grand step-daughters and of course, your babies :)
What kinds of dogs do you have? I had to put my last golden retriever to sleep and it was very hard. He actually had heart problems and went through major heart surgery. We got four more good months and it was worth every penny.
I'm all for second opinions when it comes to looking out for one's self. Yes, I have been very fortunate and feel very blessed.
Thanks for the note : )
