I've been in recovery in AA for many years, but have an increasingly bad back that can't be fixed any further. I started on Vicodin 7.5 very slowly as needed 18 months ago and it slowly imprisoned my life. I discovered I can't take ANYTHING mind altering, even as prescr
[More]ibed. So, I've stopped using opiate. I'm left with worse pain then when I started, but enjoy having my brain slowly come back again. I go to AA and NA meetings for support. Lot's of them. My favorite slogan: I can't let my own thinking fix my own thinking.
