About Me: Female, 66, Omaha, NE, member since Feb 2010
I'm proud to be a Christian mom of 2 grown kids. I started a nonprofit and ministry 10 years ago for families and individuals who live with addicted gamblers. There's a lot of abuse in those situations. Am writing a book, have a new web site www.truthanddignity.homes
[More]tead.com, and love life - so I'd like to live it!! Other health probs, but my attitude gets better instead of worse through it all. That's amazing.
hang tough, I would say yes you can trust having a icd/defibrillator put in and it working when its supposed to with only slight chance of complications. ie infection or misfires... I've had mine 4 months so far so good. no problems 37 yr old male perfect health except for a virus that attacked heart my ef was down to 15 percent when i was diagnosed last August and now im at 30 percent. get a second and maybe even a third opinion about the defibrillator if more than one doctor (Cardiac electrophysiologist) says to put it in i would put it in. my insertion area (left chest) still hurts or is tender and weak after the first 4 months but still gets better slowly everyday......
