Just a quick note to say hi! Like your wife I am also post surgery (5 yrs) and am still trying to stop the pain. I currently only take 120 mg of Cymbalta, a long list of medications has already been tried to help control the head pain. I'm super light sensitive and tend to stay home and live in the dark. I seem to have a number of triggers. My husband and I are at a loss as to what to do. I'm personally tired of spending money I don't have, seeing doctors that seem to be as confused at the situation as I am. I just don't know what to do anymore so any and all help and or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I happened across your posting about agitation before a migraine and was so surprised that I did not see that link before. The wind and quick pressure change seem to be my trigger. Right now one is building... my zip is 44875. How is your research going?
Thanks for your reply. I've never noticed a patern for my headaches really but I will have to keep an eye on it to see if maybe it could be weather related like you said. I actually seen a neurologist yesterday. He scheduled an mri and give me a perscritption to topamax. Which caused me to wake up feeling like someone was playing soccor with my head. Now I have to wait to find something out. Thanks for your answer.
I've seen some of your posts about wind and pressure as triggers for migraines. I have noticed several correlations with weather patterns and my migraines. My auras changed about a year and a half ago. I now have "seizure like" activity, I just spent 5 days in the hospital making sure it wasn't epileptic. Now that I know it's all migraine I'm desperate to find my triggers, I can have these 3 times a day to 1 every 2 weeks. Can you tell me what type of weather patterns do you look for? Fronts, pressure or temp changes? Where do you find accurate info on weather statitics?
