Hi. I do not know about Crystalens AO. Yes, I keep reaching for readers - I have many pairs thHad I known, I would have opted to try for reading ability and just use glasses for driving, which I do less of. ...On the other hand if someone needs good far vision for sports, it would be the other way around. Looks like you are tyring to make an informed choice. Good! for you
Just a quick note to say hi! and offer food for thought -- If you are under the impression that crystalens recipients don't need glasses to read, I don't think that is usually true. I am probably wrong but I got the impression after reading the food and drug administration;s initial study on the crystalens , that 51%, needed no glasses to read and they'd had both eyes done with crystalens, which helps. Obviously, that 51% also did not have any complications with either of the surgeries..I have no idea how the participants were chosen - were they ideal candidates - were their surgeons the best? I should be posting these queries on the website.. I would like to see a survey of how many recipients today use glasses.
