Just a quick note to say hi! Hello, hello Bluenose lover! Do you know about Patrick? He's the Pit that was saved on St. Patrick's day and he is now the official mascot for abused animals ALL OVER THE WORLD!!! What a story!! If you don't know it, I can give you the link to him, it will blow you away. And they you will have to get all your Pittie lovers to help save him again, the rescue group that "saved" him wants to put in in a "zoo" environment (I've never heard of it) so everyone can pay a fee and see him. FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!!
Hi there. I'm just checking in and hoping you're doing a bit better after losing your pup. Also want to thank you for the very kind message you left on my journal about losing my mom. It appears we're partners in grief these days. I'm getting through the worst of the shock but know it's going to be a year of crazy "anniversaries" before it's all behind me. For me, losing Mom and Dad were as bad as losing my dogs. Loss is loss. Period. Hang in there my friend. We shall get better. :-)
The sadness of losing a well loved dog is something I do know. All I can hope for, for you is that each day as it passes, bringing tears and sorrow, will slowly blend into days when you smile, remembering the happy times, then slowly become days when the wound of loss aches a little less.....then one day, far in the future maybe there might be another Soul who needs you.
That happened to me, I didn't make it happen. I grieved, deep and wide. Then after some time had passed I met my Misty.(The dog I have now) I never, ever, thought that would happen, but it did.
Anyway, your grief is too recent to think of things like that now.
All I can say is I am so sorry for your loss, and am thinking of you. God bless. Ginger
