Former Navy Corpsman, retired 1994 HCV discovered in 1992 upon routine transfer physical. During that early period of discovery no further evaluation was done. Admitted for esophageal varices hemorrhage 2005, Dx'd cirrhosis at that time.
Treated 48 weeks with Peg/Riba 2006-2007. Null responder.
Treated 48 weeks of Peg/Riba/Victrelis 2011-2012. Was a late responder, VL undetected between weeks 12-24. For most of this course I was taking large doses of Procrit & Neupogen. Still clear at EOT but relapsed at 12 weeks.
Meld currently 10. Began treatment with Sovaldi + Olysio + Ribavirin (1200) on 5/20/14. Treatment plan is for 24 weeks to end November 2014. GT1a, we did not test for Q80K or Il28B. Very grateful for the chance to treat again.
