About Me: Female, 64, Los Angeles, CA, member since Apr 2010
I'm 61 years old and have lived with two main chronic diseases for a number of years: multiple sclerosis and severe osteoarthritis. Recently, I found out that I now have severe osteoporosis in my right hip and upper femur. I believe this is largely due to steroid inject
[More]ions and epidural treatments for lumbar and cervical arthritis pain. (I had a serious accident as a child that affected this leg/hip.)
I also have family members with a number of different health issues about which I have or may have questions; I have checked them on your list. But your list is incomplete... my husband also has COPD (both chronic bronchitis and emphysema). Very recently, he was diagnosed with a high grade, aggressive type of prostate cancer (it has a Gleason score of 10); he is awaiting further imaging test next week, after which we'll find out how far it may have spread.
I sincerely appreciate any answers from doctors (especially) as well as individuals dealing with similar issues.
