About Me: Female, 68, central point, OR, member since Apr 2010
I have always led a pretty clean lifestyle, never lingered long at the water trough for anything. Love ranch life am several generations of horse people, and my children and grandchildren too.
[More] We believe I got Hep C from an early transfusion in an emergency C section, and didn't know it for over 35 yrs. When they discovered it, it's Geno type 2 and fibroses damage to my liver is minimal, but they still recommended the Inter/Rhib for 44 wks. I was miserable with low blood count both white & red, and all the other side effects that go with it.
Like a dummy, thought I would bounce right back after the tx, but I ended up with pluricy and paricarditis, went through surgery and horrible pain, but I finally think I'm on the mend. The hep C came back negative, but I know it's somewhere lying in tissue somewhere, I just hope it stays put.
Congratulations! Time for a celebration...
