About Me: Female, 42, Minneapolis, MN, member since Apr 2010
I have been on methadone for the majority of the time since I was 19.
Over the past year and a half I've been tapering and need all the help in the world!
[More] I have depression, 'complex' PTSD, anxiety & panic disorders, amnesia, DPD (De-Personalization Disorder), agoraphobia/agraphobic/I've trouble making it out.
Also, I have a wonderfully sweet blind Siamese cat, a view of the muddied Mississippi River from here and have a last.fm & tumblr pages with the same usernames (add me?).
OK. I realize I have 'some' issues to overcome.
Anyway, I'm here for advice and to offer support to anyone who may need a shoulder to lean on.
I can be extremely shy at first but am really very warm-hearted & patient.
I just get scared of people sometimes and I don't know why.
I live most of my life in my head now and miss all of my friends and family very, very, very much.
I know I need to do whatever I can to become better.
And I want to share whatever advice I can to anyone who might benefit from experiences I've been through.
Sometimes it helps just to know that you are not alone with the way you are feeling.
I intend to do well, become free of opiates/opioids and maintain some positivity & humor along the way.
