this saddens my heart! Like my Dr said to me, until someone goes through pain they do not understand why someone would take pain meds, but walk a day in my shoes and you will see how intense it is. Needless to say I didn't mean to talk your hear off but was wondering if you have heard of any bad effects of long term use of methadone, I have researched and researched and can't find anything new, someone mentioned that is had really bad effects but wasn't specific, I was just wondering if it was something I didn't already know? So in conclusion of my last note......I also continued to clean new construction, also did electrical work and on outings pick up my sister and Mother to put them in my truck as well as their wheel chairs. So some of my injury is self inflicted and some is from accidents. Florida DMV took my D.L due to my neuropothy, I can get it back once I go and have an orthopedic evaluate my strength in my legs and feet and arms but its just a pain in the ***. Another thing that just boils me is the stigma that comes along with taking meds, at first before I became equanted with my pharmacy they kind of treated me like ****, now we have an awesome relationship and I know I am being taking care of and he is aware of all of my medications. But alot of people even at the hospital treat me like ****!

Hello my name is Melissa and I live in Florida, I just wanted to say what you posted in March on day 8th of quiting your addiction really touched my heart. I also was wondering if you took pills for pleasure or pain? I was bucked off a horse years ago and started out taking minimal and then graduallly incrased of course but I only take 6-30mg oxycodones, 6-10mg methadone and 350 mg soma 4x's a day but I have a prescription in my purse and a half of a bottle and I go to the Dr in two weeks or so so I have cut back a lot on those. They just were not helping that much anymore and I din't want to take somehing unnecessarily. I do not judge either, if you chose to take those for pleasure that is your business and I do not think any less or more of someone.
