It sounds like the doctor told you that you chrondromalacia (sp?). When I was a teenager I was told that I had that and then it was changed to patella femoral chondrosis. Basically what I have been told is that it says that you have anterior (front) knee pain and we do not why. I know this may sound crazy but you might want to try a find a good chiropractor. Mine not only has treated my knee, but also, my feet, and spine. After all the specialists I have seen and physical therapy I have had, he has helped me the most. Good luck
