I am currently in treatment for lyme disease along with my husband and 19 year old son. My husband and I believe we have had this condition for many years and also believe our son was born with lyme disease. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, Possible RA in my fut
[More]ure, insulin resistance and thyroiditis. Lyme disease is a terrible illness that effects 1 out of 6 people and messes up how the entire body works. I wouldn't be in treatment right now for lyme if it wasn't for my strong willed nature, husbands support and the fact that my husband and son also suffer with similar symptoms. My 5th test for lyme disease was done through Igenex labs and finally came back positive. A negative test for lyme does not mean you don't have it. Terrible body pain and fatigue are symptoms that should not be ignored or medicated to get relief. This does not fix the problem. Only treatment to kill the lyme bacteria or other co-infections will get rid of these conditions.
Just a quick note to say hi! How is your treatment going? I had to take a break from abx to give my kidneys a rest. After a month of substitute herbals, we'll retest and see how they're doing. I hope you're feeling better these days!
Hi. Thx for your note. As Dr. Burrascano says, I have a "preponderance of neurologic symptoms", and like Dr. Virginia T. Sherr says, "Bartonellosis has been found capable of causing severe gastrointestinal pain and malfunction." Not fun at all. Isn't it strange how "Cat Scratch Disease" was always considered minor, but when it's tick borne with Lyme, it's nasty! My gut has healed quite a bit, and my anxiety is pretty much gone, so I think the Bartonella is just about kicked.
Hello! I, too have Lyme and Bartonella. I've just seen a big enough decrease in my stomach pain to be able to walk more than a couple hundred feet. I've had my diagnosis and been on abx for 3 months now. My worst symptoms have been GI issues & shortness of breath (10th nerve infection?), rib pain, and neuro/cognitive issues. I have between 40 and 80 symptoms, depending on how detailed the list is. I went through 12 doctors, 2 negative tests, 2 er visits, 1 hospitalization in 16 months of steady decline before I figured it out for myself. Thank God for IGeneX and my LLMD!
