You deserve a big bear hug! You're almost there. Don't give in. I'm thirteen years clean now off of Heroin so I know you can do it. Those first few months are hard, but the truth is that nothing is going to give you that first high again. Not even that same drug. Your brain is trying to trick you so I'm here to tell you that it just won't happen and you know that. It will feel like the tenth time but your body will be back to being addicted again. If you are truly desperate try methadone. It returns your receptors back to the normal size and most doctors now know how to slowly wean you off. Best of luck.

Hey John,,got real busy this past week. School starting back for kids and such. Been out of the house early and kids have been on the computer during the evenings so not much of a window for me to get on..Still having trouble with the nerve here btw. This patching material that the surgeon used is taking its sweet time to dissolve. Considering he won't give me a specific time frame for it to dissipate from around the surgery site, I have this impression it may take a few weeks..I get periodical flairups in the 6-7 range but they are short lived when they do..Getting a slight improvement on the daily constant threshold.. I finally do have light at the end of the tunnel now though. At least I know where I'm going with this now per an appt I had with the surgeon last Friday :)
