I haven't heard from you in a while. HOw are you, friend?
Thank you for your kind response to my posting. I have consulted with 3 additional gynocological oncologists since my posting and they all agree that I need to have a bilateral oophorectomy. So, I have that scheduled for the 23rd of this month. I am very apprehensive about hitting surgical menopause head on, but I will deal with that when it arrives. Since EVERY female on my mom's side of the family has or had breast cancer, I will be having a bilateral masectomy once I heal from this first surgery.
I do not know much about your personal story, but I hope you are healing and in a good place....
Thank you for your kindness....
Becky
Just a quick note to say hi! Scan was bad news. Progressive disease and alot of it. Still no cancer inside the liver. That is a plus. New chemo Xeloda pills. I will try a while but I don't think it is going to do anyhting. Onc says surgery is not an option. I may seek another opinion on that.
Just thinking of you, wondering how the healing is coming along. Glad the surgery is long gone and over but now the body has to cooperate.
