About Me: Female, 50, Northern , NJ, member since Jul 2010
My husband and I have been married 8 years this September. After many years of TTC, with the help of a donor egg we are parents to our beautiful twin boys!! Although its been a difficult journey, it's been a rewarding one. My son Michael was diagnosed on the Spectrum
[More] of Autism in February 2014. He started Early Intervention very early and now is in a full day ABA program in our school district. He is starting to communicate and we see improvement every day. Alex is a happy, funny and very smart little boy. He loves to sing and dance and puts on a show for us that usually makes us laugh hysterically. Living with twins is a challenge and exhausting but this is what makes life fulfilling.
Michael is using Clonidine to help him sleep at night, I can't say it's really working all that great, does anyone else have experience with this? How does it work for your child?
Please bring back news feed.... I missed a dear friend's pregnancy announcement!!
My dad's cancer has returned, but Dr. feels its something they can control. The less aggressive form has returned, so no chemo, but infusion treatment and daily pill for the next 6 weeks.
"Hi, It's okay, :-) Well we just started using clonidine, and hoping for the best. He is not a fan of blankets to begin with but yes I've considered trying that as well. We do put all the pillows snuggled up to him when he sleeps. But..."
"My son is 3 and a half years old and on the spectrum. He has is having a difficult time staying asleep at night, waking up for hours on end. We do give him melatonin half hour before bed time, seems to help get him to sleep but not kee..."

Im not a fan of not having the feed makes things so much harder to stay in contact especially as I don't have as much time as I used to..twins are almost 20 months old, keeping me very busy.. its hard as I am sure you know exactly what I mean.. love them with all my heart, just hard at times..they are both Gluten free due to medical reasons and D is dairy free too, havent succeeded with her yet as she still has a night milk.. how are your boys going? I bet they are so big now..miss chatting, hugs : )
Just a quick note to say hi! We are all good but with work and school and parenting our little girl which can be very intense due to the trauma she has suffered it is hard to find any spare time.. Your boys have gotten so big. Where has the time gone? x
Hey Hun! We are good! Boys turned 4 today! I can't believe how fast time is going! Party is next week I'll post pics after. Theyve gotten so big! I don't get on much here, with school, the boys and I'm now working part time it's hard lol. If anything I poke in and read up on what's going on except now it's hard with the feed gone.
