About Me: Female, 64, Stanardsville, VA, member since Aug 2010
I am a retired nurse after 30 years. I retired early due to chronic pain from artritis. I like to swim and watch tv. I miss riding my mountainbike, going hiking, sking, and going on trips to the Carribian. My life has changed drastically since my arthritis took ahold
[More] of me. It has been hard to adjust to the changes in my life. I do like to use my computer at home. I also try and swim three times a week at least 45 minutes a day.
Hope you feel better soon!?.you are not alone in feeling bad about pain issues!
Hang in there!
I am retired med professional..not doctor..though I am in chronic neuropathy pain..there is a stigma..bad enough we have the pain itself to manage and worse because of the stigma..
I hope I get well enough to start educating other med professionals..they are being forced to send us to see pain specialists who then become our slaves..they don't like that stigma either because they too often get penalized just for helping us who are in legit pain..
