Barbs, how's it going? I have the same condition, and basically this is what I've found to be general opinion. Asymptomatic cysts are ok, no treatment necessary, but for symptomatic cysts surgery (Endoscopic is preferred) is necessary in order to prevent hydrocephalus/pressure related long term damage. From my experience your symptoms sound like they are absolutely caused by the cyst.....hope all is well
Hi Barbs, I've read your very interesting account....I was diagnosed with similar just yesterday and am frantically trying to get info. on it. I live in Spain and Ireland and would love to find a Neurologist who knows about pineal cysts as my Neurologist is definitely of the 'it's not a problem' variety. Thanks for any info. you can give or point me to....my email is elizavalidoatyahoodotes. Thanks. And best of good luck with everything, Liz
