Thank you for your post. I have had my primary doctor, orhtopedic doctor & rehab doctor all say I could not have gotten injured from the flu shot. I now know for sure it was from the shot & will work hard on getting the doctors to see there is a real problem. I do not want anyone else to go through the pains I am going through. I thank god am able to sleep now (after my 2nd cortisone shot & taking celebrex). The physical theropy is hard but I'm pushing myself. My doctor thinks I won't need surgery but I know I will never be back to my old self.
Just a quick note to say hi! Thank you for responding back. It's good to have networking like this. Thank you too for the website info. I do hope things get better for you. From all the info I have been reading I doubt I'll ever take another flu vac. There are just too many bad memories. I, like you took the flu vac to protect against the flu, I'll take my chances with a one to two week bout with the flu compared to rotator cuff repair, anchors, PT, absence from work for 3 months, frozen shoulder, manipulation and the cost has been astronomical. I guess you get the picture. Not to despair though I am thankful for what I have and that God in HIs ultimate wisdom gave me another arm to compensate. Thanks again and keep in touch!

Just a quick note to say hi! just read your blog and been there, done that. had a flu vac last oct. ended up two weeks later with MRI that revealed a severe rotator tear. had surgery three days later after the MRI. shot was given way above the deltoid. am a nurse for about 30 yrs so know where shot should have been given. insist on MRI before gets worse, the surgery was not a quick fix for me as now have frozen shoulder. sorry to be so pessimetic but want you to get some relief. doctors and lawyers are skeptical saying is only coincidence, i beg to differ. bizarre and unusual yes, but did happen to me. please let me know how things turn out for you.
