No. I tried podiatrist - he said "liposuction ankles". Then orthopedic surgeon - said if these bumps are not painful, leave it alone. I even thought maybe I should be a cardiology consult due to fluid retention, findings were negative. It's very annoying! How can there be NO reason for these unsightly lumpy ankles? The last doctor I saw was an endocrinologist who did an extensive blood workup. He found that I had "metabolic syndrome" and that I was now pre-diabetic. So he put me on Diabetis medication which should help metabolize the sugar which was turning into fat. So I just started this new medication 3 days ago.
Have you gained weight around your midsection? It's good to know that I am not alone. I'll keep you posted if the medication improves the fatty pads.
Have you found anyone to help you with the ankle problem? I also have the same problem, bilateral ankle lipomas which started on the left ankle. Now both ankles are lumpy laterally.
