About Me: Female, 44, Seattle Area, WA, member since Oct 2010
I am 41 years old and live in the Seattle Area. I have a wonderful husband and we have four fun loving kids. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in March 2012 after nearly two years of symptoms.
My symptoms started in May 2010 but I didn't become concerned until a two week bout with difficulty swallowing in the late summer. In Fall of 2010 I became pretty sick with an increase in muscle twitches/jerking, dropping things, visual symptoms, muscle weakness, foot/leg weakness, balance issues, vertigo, strange sensations, fatigue and some cognitive issues over the course of several months....those slowly got better then I felt sick again in March and June 2011 and again in Jan 2012 with Optic Neuritis that lead to my diagnosis of MS in Feb/March 2012.
With all the above, I have so much to be grateful for... I try to count my blessings every day.
