About Me: Female, 36, Fresno, CA, member since Dec 2010
I'm an outgoing, fun, and energetic person. In Nov. 2010 had left side of my thyroid and isthmus removed due to a follicular adenoma. I am still trying to figure out life after thyroid surgery, and how to maintain my health. Other than that, I never let anything slow me
[More] down for too long. :)
Good to hear back from you. So sorry about the thyroid causing the phantom heart thing. Believe me I know exactly how you feel. I have the strangest symptoms at different times also. I am just battling along with crazy choking feeling again although my thyroid has been removed. Also, constant anxiety, insomnia , and that feeling that I just cant get my breath alot. I went to a new GP who wants to up my levo but of course I couldnt get any sense outta the nurse when she phoned. I also am a nurse and I wanted to know the numbers. I got frustrated with my Endo I was going to because it was such a hassel to get an appointment and plus she was a b*tch. LOL sorry. I am ranting so I will stop. Hope and pray you feel better soon. HUGS...
Haha yeah, air conditioning is so useful in Summer lol. I like it warm (only cos thanks to thyroid I get cold easily and hate winter lol) but sometimes its so ridiculously hot all you can do is swim & sit in front of the air con!! Cool breezes at night are great...I love sleeping with the window open and letting the cool air in!! :)
Yeah, we're in the fall season...except it's called Autumn here ;-) It's been quite cold overall, even summer was quite cool, we only had typical summer weather (heat) for like 2 weeks through the whole 3 month season!! But today and yesterday have been quite warm and so we've enjoyed the sunshine and warmth but it's gunna cool right down again over the weekend.
Today's been pretty decent I guess. Adjusting to 2 new meds currently and so it's been a bit rough...first few days the meds make you very sleepy...today's the first day since Tuesday I didnt need an afternoon nap!! That's gotta be a good sign!! Glad you're ok besides thyroid. Ugh...hyperthyroid is awful!! I hope it doesnt get too bad!!
