I am a Swedish citizen but an American resident since 1982. I am retiered as of 2006 but worked in Orthopedic Surgery and Internal medicine for a total of 12 yrs. I am 43 years old,divorced and have a daughter age 22.
[More] I am ADHD, Bipolar 1 and an alcoholic . At age 15 was introduced to AA and multiple rehabs but mentall illness was ignored wreaking havoc in my life, loosing jobs,3 husbands, homes, my daughter, suicide attempts etc. I blamed myself and survived by self medicating with multiple pharmacuticals and pot. Diagnosed as Bipolar 5 yrs ago and it changed my life!! I am mostly stable on; tegretol, lamotrigine,abilify,cogentin,klonopin,pristiq,wellbutrin,adderall,restoril, Still have body pain for years and searching for answers. Multiple diagnosis and tests but no bingo yet. I also feel extremely strongly about AAs need to discuss symptoms of mental illness for additional help for those affected. Many members die as a result of no medical treatment.
