About Me: Female, 48, Atlanta, GA, member since Feb 2011
Chronic low back pain, sciatica from L5 nerve root damage. Spinal fusion L4-S1 '05 but suffered permanent damage from ruptured L5 on nerve root (injury was in Jan, '01). Car accident 5 months after surgery set me back pretty hard, back to Pain Management where I've be
[More]en every since. I did have a spinal cord stimulator implant in '06 and it does help some, but I really have to use the power of positive thinking :). I use the fetanyl patch (50) every 2 days, take carisporidal, tizanadine, tramadol, and trazadone. I also have major depression and take cymbalta and abilify. Enough complaining! I also have two awesome girls, 13 and 16, and a wonderful hubby of 23 years. I am also retired after serving 20 years (where injury occured and I get disability from VA) in the US Navy. So I've got a lot to be thankful for and try to count my blessings!
