I am currently on an anti-viral...this is my third bout with shingles...each time I have not had the rash..and I have them in classic area midline on my left side. This time I had one eruption on my lip of course on the left side. My Dr. had no problem diagnosing I have shingles without the rash. Although when she saw my lip..she said 'finally an eruption" now others will believe you but I have always thought that it was shingles. I'm too young for the vaccine. I will be on a proventative doseage of anti-viral until I get old enough to consider the vaccine...I have 4 years to wait. I'm sorry for the rest of you that have this and have not had a Dr. who is willing to listen.
