About Me: Female, 20, Dothan, AL, member since Apr 2011
I'm Sixteen years old. I was recently diagnosed with a "Corpus Iuteum Cyst" or a cyst that can appear after the follicle releases the egg. Normally the follicle becomes a secretory gland that produces estrogen and Progesterone. It does this to get ready for conception
[More], if the conception doesn't happen it normally just dissolved. Some times it can fill with blood and other fluids and grow into a cyst. These types of cysts can grow up to be about 10cm big. These types of cysts normally don't have any symptoms unless it is able to twist the ovary giving the woman sharp abdominal pains. The Cyst is on my left ovary but is only 4cm in size. I take what I am going through very seriously and hope to speak with some other girls or women who can relate.
