Hi: I am not sure if you're still on the site still, but your description of your son describes my son perfectly. He is 3.5 now, but has had the exact same issues in his last very large preschool but is fine one on one. He often ignores what I say, or will stop doing something and then will start right back up again. We also had him tested and the psychologist told us that at this point his development is fluid, and there is no definitive diagnosis. However, he thinks it is unlikely he's on the spectrum which was his teacher's concern. What's upsetting is his teacher was sure that he was on the spectrum and although she may have had experience with children on the spectrum, she has no professional knowledge to determine the criteria relevant to diagnosis of any disorder.
Just a quick note to say hi! Just noticed that they didn't display the rest of the email address. It's hotmail.com

Hi gia1000, I have read your posts, and they are so similar to the issues I am wrangling at the moment. I wonder if you would mind sending me a message at my email address? If not, that's fine. gibson_jones***@****
I feel a little at the end of my tether, and am also starting to feel a little paranoid. I just wonder how things turned out for your son - I'm not sure when you posted. Anyway, if I hear from you I do, if I don't, I don't! Kate.
