Hi carol, i would like to find out if you had any answers to the burning back pain and small syrinx? i have a small one but alot of pain? the doctors say it could not be the syrinx but I am not so sure. Would appreciate a reply
Just a quick note to say hi
Carol, Syringomyelia is cysts (syrinx) in the spinal cord. I had it operated on me in 1992. They took out as many cysts as they could and put a shunt in. I had relatively no problems until recently when an MRI shoed two more had grown back, about 7 inches or so big. Having trouble finding a doctor who knows enough about this disease. Last NS I seen said he didn't think it needed to be operated on, and that is opposite of everything that I know. Hope that helps
