About Me: Female, 50, Toronto, ON, member since Aug 2011
Diagnosed with HCV in September 2010. Began treatment August 2011 with SOC and a trial medication, BI 20133 240 mg, 120 mg or placebo.
At week 12, DET <25. 5 log drop.
[More] At week 18, UND.
No VL testing between weeks 12 and 18 so I don't know how long I've been UND. Week 4 and 8 VL results have not been disclosed.
At week 24 I was told my EOT would be week 48, the EOT for SOC + placebo. I decided to stop today (Jan. 19/12). I don't see the value in continuing another 24 weeks with only a 50/50 chance of success. I'll give it another try when the study is unblinded in about 2 years.
You're in my thoughts all the time, but especially today. I am soo sorry you had to quit your tx, Suezeeque With your determination I am sure you will be on a new treatment soon. Keeping you in my prayers, starshine1ca
Geeze, like I posted, leave the egos aside. Why would anyone have to claim they wrote something they didn't?
When I was first diagnosed, I joined several forums too including one that no longer exists.
Now, mostly I come here and have made some 'real' good friends.
