Just a quick note to say hi! thank you so much for mentioning the alter ate nostril breathing in a post of yours. I have just done it for the first time, and I feel so much relief!!! My ears have been clogged, and my nose was clogged all summer with allergies, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy in January, and then reconstructive surgery at the start of July, so really the whole year involved rounds of post-surgical antibiotics and now I must take arimidex to lower my oestrogen, so the oestrogen positive breast cancer does not recur. So -- really, not my best year. But this feeling ‘under water’ and clogged-up was the worst. so thank you very much! I am going to do this breathing for 15 minutes every morning and evening, as you suggest.
First diagnosed in Jan 2013. Started with 2400MG mesalamine and one 500mg mesalamine suppository. since then if I maintain this medicine my UC is in control . comes in patches but last for threes or four days. but in Dec 2013 it came back heavily but its because of me, I stopped all med for around one month, then stage came where i had to take steroids for a month but then again from Feb 2014 I am on 2400mg mesa daily and one suppository per day. current symptoms :- if I stop med - next day i see blood on paper, this increase everyday with mucous and constipation. I started yoga since two month daily in morning about 40 minute. 7 breathing Technic specially kapalbhati and anu vilo 15 minute. also cont'd diet as for UC patient. But I have to take mesalamne 2400mg and 1 500mg supp per day.
Could you please explain in more detail. Like need to control diet what we can eat , what can not, allopathy must be taken along with this pranayam if yes for how long.? I am doing it daily once 30 min since two month but taking my allopathy medicine if i reduce it symptoms comes back.
