About Me: Male, 36, Apex, NC, member since Sep 2011
I am a 34 year old female. In 2008, after being diagnosed with an ischemic colon in ER, had a right sided hemicolectomy. Due to severe complications, I was given Dilaudid via PICC line for 2 months and later went through a medically supervised narcotic withdrawal due to
[More] narcotic bowel. After enduring increasingly painful joints, extreme fatigue, general feelings of malaise, and gastroparesis (among many other very mysterioius and unexplained symptoms), I became extremely tired of being cast off by the medical community and began experimenting on my own. I began a gluten free diet and improved remarkably within 3 days. I still believe that something changed remarkably in my body during that time of medical crisis, and I am determined to figure out what it was .
