My tinnitus caused by treatment is permanent. My allergies from when I was a small child returned caused by TX . Also sleeping problems and neuropathy from TX, neuropathy has improved by still in my right leg from knee up. Biopsy results from 25Jan13 stage 2 grade 2. A little headache and GI problems the beginning of Gilead treatment but fine after 5 weeks and no side effects after treatment. Only side effect is from Interferon/Ribavirin that are permanent now 6 years later.
No nausea, mostly just stomach upset and gas. I have to be careful what I eat, no beans, no oils, limited veggies, doesn't leave much since I already don't eat red meat! How do you get by with no insurance? I would be terrified of some freak accident. I have insurance but it is costing me $750 per month and I can't afford to keep it much longer. I'm hoping this new insurance program set to start in January will offer some relief. I'm too young for Medicare, don't qualify for Medicaid and used up Cobra. Hope you're feeling better!
1b, CT, started 2/27 on 12 week with riba with vl of about 8 million. 39 at week 2, waiting for results of week 4. Hemoglobin down to 10.9 from 16. May have to dose reduce riba. Some gastro issues, some headaches. This is a piece of cake compared to treatment with interferon! Will post week 4 results ASAP. congrats to you!
The first week I had gastro problems. After that I was good for 10 weeks. Then from 11-14, just didn't feel well and I think it was week 13 I had another night of feeling so nauseous, that went on for days. I stopped tx on week 14.
Dr F is still my guy too. I continue to feel very fortunate to have his as my hepatologist though these days, I need him less and less~ a good thing.
Congrats on getting into the Gilead trail. The future of hep C treatment looks bright, indeed.
