In dealing with my own health issues, most of them are solvable _before_ I head for the doctors' office. This probably puts a strain on doctor/patient relationships, but my primary physician says I'm one of her favoirites (I give her a hard time at each visit (even though I love her dearly).
At 77 I'm a shut-in having voluntarily given up my driver's license because of Macular Degeneration and encroaching cataracts (thanks to my High School typing teacher for being such a stickler for accuracy with touch-typing - I can still correspond with diminished eyesight).
