Barb, you did not mention what type of surgery you had that allowed you to be painfree. I am desperate at this time after a several bilateral steroid injecitons, bilateral facet joint arthrogram, bilateral radiofrequency thermo-coagulation and lumbar disectomy 2 years ago after an accident at work cause my disc to herniate fro 3 mm to 11 mm at the L5/S1 level. Now, 2 years later, I am experiencing constant pain at a level of 9 on a good day. I cannot live like this anymore. Nothing makes it better and sitting up or standing for any period of time is just unbearable. I cannot even walk without pain. I tried meds from vicodin, naproxen, and neurontin and other stuff but my pain does not get better. Please, any response is appreciated.
