About Me: Male, 48, Stockholm, Sweden, member since Nov 2011
Helping my wife through her second tx. First was in 2009. Non responder. Now a new treatment with Telaprevir. Since she has genotype 1 and chirosis, the chances are not too good, but they are there...
[More] Second treater also non responder. Now it is just to wait on some new tx, since the current ones is simply not effective on her, and also makes her bloodworks go way out in the danger zone.
Wating for the third treatment to start. Will get information if the "Compassion request" was approved in 2 weeks (Around start of April 2014).
Just a quick note to say hi! Nilsarne, sorry to hear that your wife's treatment with Telaprevir didn't work. I will pray that the new medications will come out quickly and will be effective for her. Try to help her stay positive.
I am sorry to here that your wife has to stop treatment due to her VL numbers. It must be very difficult after trying so hard on these toxic meds. Perhaps she will be able to treat when the new drugs care approved.
