Of course to quote my physician, everyone's eyes are different. Hmph!.. I wish I could have been better prepared. The only thing that hurt & did it hurt were the anesthetic shots. I was so afraid to move or sneeze or whatever. Mind you I'm a good patient the dentist does not bother me. They scheduled my other eye two weeks later but I cancelled. Not until the first eye completely recovers. My added problem probably not ptosis related is glare, glare, glare, I have had cataracts removed, yag & still glare. I would not have driven myself home altho it is only four miles. Also next time I will take an ice pack & start applying it the minute I leave the office. I don't want to alarm you I just wish I could have been better informed.
I had ptosis surgery for rt. eye 5 weeks ago, I will eventually have it in lt. eye, altho obstruction of vision its not as much. I will add more comments about experience if you want me to. A little more troublesome than expected & may have to have added surgery same eye (they don't tell you in advance). I am a "senior" & have had a slight droop most of my life, only recently became medically necessary. I think it will be worth it in the long run.
