About Me: Male, 74, Santa Cruz, CA, member since Nov 2011
70 years young. 2009 diagnosed prostrate cancer. Stage 3, Gleason score #8. Placed on hormone therapy for 90 days to shrink tumor and stop spreading outside of prostrate. Recieved 5 weeks radiation - realized what good health I was in - had the brachy therapy (66 seeds)
[More]. Before cancer treatment M.D.'s were unaware of stone blocking 95 % of my urether.
Found 4 months ago - had emergency surgery. Now just starting to walk as vibration is bearable due to hydrocodeine 1/2 of 10/375mg at night for pain and ambien for sleep. Hadn't slept good night for about 18 months prior to stone not being discovered. I hate asking for hydro codeine - I use 1/2 pill after work along with massaging legs each pm as I now have neuroapathy and another 1/2 at bedtime to alleviate pain in feet. It is a process as we get well - but I must stay positive as this will keep the immune system up. I am blessed as I lived through cancer - I just have to adjust my lifestyle to what my body can do and what it can't do. Anybody want to share - send me a post.
