About Me: Female, 25, Layton, UT, member since Nov 2011
I am 23 years old and when I was 18 months old I was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease called Muscular Dystrophy. I have type 2. I am permanently wheelchair bound and have worked hard to get on my own and to be as independent as possible. Due to government rules I
[More] had to spend 90 days minimum in a skilled nursing facility to prove that I was able to live on my own mentally, emotionally with little help physically. I then spent time in an assisted living facility, Made some big decisions and went through a major surgery, went to rehab and while I was healing I met my fiancee. I now live in an apartment with him and our 2 ''fuzzy babies'' Lulu our year and a half old toy chihuahua and Poly Mola our 8 week old Siamese kitten. I am also almost 29 weeks pregnant with our first child, a little girl to be named Hannah. I was always told I wouldn't be able to have a lasting relationship, I wouldn't be able to carry a child... If I did somehow get pregnant I would loose the baby or endanger my own life. My own family told me that I might as well get comfortable because I would never be able to live on my own. I have broken every boundrie people have set in my way. I look forward to the birth of my daughter here very soon. To get to see my fiancee hold our daughter in his arms, If you have any questions feel free to ask.
