Just a quick note to say hi! Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season! Hubby's most recent follow up with hepa was good (ultrasound, lab work, and check up) on 12/5/13. Still well compensated, so sign of cancer. Next follow up is in June, 2014.
Hi, just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that hubby's 6 mo check up with his hepatologist on Thursday went well. No signs of cancer, no signs of decompensation. Next ultrasound and check back with her is in December.
Thank you for the nice note! Here is my update.
I just got home last night after being in the hospital since Sunday the 17th. I had to go into the Emergency Room because of of extreme abdominal pain. It turned out I had an obstructed bowel due to my intestines being stuck in my umbilical hernia. A transplant surgeon was able with his hands to pull the bowel out of the hernia to clear the blockage Friday night instead of operating on my abdomen which every other doctor recommended.
While I was at the hospital I was diagnosed with a new 2.0 cm (0.8") tumor and will treat it with chemo beads inserted into the blood supply to the tumor in my liver. Transplant will wait.
