Congratulations! Time for a celebration...
jimee i am looking at your journal and glad to see your jubilation!
i still can't tell what you did by that. likely my ignorance- can you give me a little data?
i have my appointment in august and looking for info to talk with doc.
Hi Jimee, Good to hear from you. I've been out of the country for the last twelve days with very little internet access. Just got the news yesterday that I was still UND at week 8, and Jillian tells me that everyone on our trial is UND. The 5 naives will be stopping in a couple of weeks. It's hard to believe that I only have eleven days to go. I guess the test for SVR4 is going to be a little nerve wracking. i hope we all make it as it's almost as good as SVR 12 and 24 these days. I should find out some time in the second week of July. Still feeling tremendously grateful to be on this trial. What a relief it will be to finally kiss this sucker good-bye. Can't wait! How are you doing? Things seem pretty quiet on the forum here. I guess that's good news.
Hi Jimee, you raised a good question after my last journal post. It's true that everyone in the 24 week bms/7977 trial was treatment naive. I don't know if there were any partial or null responders in the two 7977 trials that produced the 100% concordance between SVR 4, 12 and 24. So that's still a bit of a mystery. But with 100% sucess on the 24 week trial I have to think that the chances of everyone on our trial making SVR are incredibly good. There were almost certainly some IL28b TTs and CTs in the 24 week trial, the people more genetically predisposed to be partial or null responders on previous treatments. But everyone hit SVR 4.
