About Me: Female, 55, United Kingdom, member since Mar 2012
I am 51 years old ( 2012 ) have: low thyroid, cystocele, rectocele, intussusception and poss enterocele, low iron, poss sjogrens syndrome, vulval dermatitis and vestibulitis, reflux and sinus problems. I also have herpes and am on suppressive treatment.
[More] I have problems with bulge on bowel side of vagina all the time and also on bladder side when passing motion and a feeling of a full bladder a lot whether it is full or not with some pain on passing urine ( with no infection) and problems emptying bladder as times - especially if there is any bowel pressure.
I have low back and low abdominal pain and pressure going down into vagina area.
Pressure gets a lot worse as day goes along and depends also on how much I have eaten.
I weigh 126 lb am average wieght, have 2 children age 10 and 16.
The urogynae says I may have a slight cystocele and can see that pushing down from the bowel pushes my bladder and uterus down. He says that low back pain is nothing to do with prolapse! I dont think he understands the bowel aspect and says I may need to see a bowel doctor. My second urogyne has found a rectocele grade 3, and my colorectal consultant has also found an intussusception grade 3.
I live in the UK in Buckinghamshire and wish to find out exactly what is wrong with me in order to look at treatment options.
