About Me: Female, Cleveland, OH, member since May 2007
I am a female, age 60. I have been undiagnosed since 2001. I have trouble walking, because my legs hurt and get heavy with pain. My knees get weak, and I have trouble climbing steps. This started in my legs is getting worse. Now my fingertips get red when I walk, al
It is difficult to walk one block. I also have sacroiliac pain, rashes and severe fatigue.
I think I have an autoimmune disease, or a chronic infection, that is affecting my blood vessels.
I recently found that there were abnormal tests, that the doctor never told me about. (The neurologist had written that I had "Nerurogenic Claudication," and the Health Line Nurse said I had "Vascular Claudication." )
I asked my PCP to find out if my leg pain when walking was from my nerves or blood vessels. He wote me a lettter saying he can not answer my questions, and to find another PCP.
Can doctors do this? Don't doctors have performance reviews? Can he refuse to do doppler tests on my legs, and still keep his job? I know several people who were refused care at their hospital for asking questions, or making complaints.
Does anyone know why hospitals can do this?
That is why I joined MedHelp...to try and find answers, and to help other members. I am trying to get a diagnosis, because something is wrong with my legs, and I am sick and unemployed and can not stand or walk too long.
My doctors are not helping me.
FYI: For everyone to know: Doctors make LOTS of mistakes! The Institute of Medicine (IOM) wrote a report that says that up to 98,000 patients die each year from medical errors! The report is called "To Err is Human."
My interests are: Medical advocacy for the undiagnosed, nature, art, animal rights, the environment, and holistic medicine...
No doctor will diagnose this in the US/UK India or Australia,if you take magnesium and vitamins b&d it helps.DIA MIN works as well as artemisia.I bought a zapper off the curezone. It helps the arthritis.I found out you have to be your own doctor with this.
