Sometimes it isn't unhealthy if you need the weight loss but I also had a friend that worked for herballife and he was gungho for that company then later when he learned more about them he said it was a
rip off. So, I would check in with your doctor. We are sort of vegan but cheat and have fish or chicken when we go out to eat. This is mostly because my husband wants to lose weight plus his lipid profile is bad. The book Keep it Simple, Keep it Whole by Dr. pulde and Lederman is a good start to understanding a healthier way of dieting but if you follow it 100% then you eventually have to take B12 and so forth.
