About Me: Female, 44, Philadelphia, PA, member since May 2012
Hello, I was a very active woman up until March of 2012 besides all the injuries I have ever had in my current life and in my past. They call my Robo-cop for there is nothing I haven't overcome. I inspire other people to not give up ever and I make a difference in other
[More]s lives and I am thankful I have been able to do this.
Recently discovered last year that I have Chiari Malformation Syndrome Type II. I was crying at the doctors office when I was told. Wasn't crying for the fact I have this and am dying slowly for there is no cure but a name had been give to when many didn't bother to tell me what was wrong and rather tell me for I am a woman I was making it all up. Aside from that I had cut my r/leg in half and am thankful for the doctor that decided to keep it and not just take at the time for I have accomplished a lot in my time. I was almost a black belt. I never gave up, I refused to sit and sit. I broke mamy of other bones at the time when the leg was cut. And I am now used as a study for the Ortho Society and I am glad for I should NOT have my leg. And they use all my info to teach doctors not to just go ahead and take a limb that a person WILL can help them over come. I have also sustained many injuries during my course of employment and overcome them as well and help many others not to quit. Thank you for listening.
Oh and as a add note, no, no one help me and didn't have much therapy and when someone refused to help and give me a bs answer I said "there is always a answer and a way so long as there is will, I won't quit". Glad I didn't and glad I did NOT settle. ;-)
