I just saw your comment about Factor 5 Leiden and M.S. My mom has been diagnosed with MS for 23 years, went to the neuro and just found out that it's NOT MS, but factor 5 leiden instead. The nerve damage from the mini strokes makes the MRI look like MS. There are huge amounts of MS in my family (including me) so now we're all going to get blood tests for the factor 5 leiden. The blood thinners will keep our "MS" from progressing. Just something to look in to. Getting my kids checked, too, since it's genetic.
